Every Donation Counts

In September, Brighton celebrated the opening of its first permanent blood donor centre, and the Reason Global team were proud to be among the first to roll up their sleeves.

For some of the team, it was a brand-new experience: Ushuaia made her very first donation, Jack completed his third, Tracey reached an impressive 25 donations, and Jacob marked an incredible milestone with his 100th! (And although unable to make it this time, Georgie is proud to have given blood four times.)

Reflecting on his journey, Jacob shared: “I started donating in my early twenties because I thought it was just a good thing to do (and, let’s be honest, the free Penguin bar doesn’t go amiss!). Later, I switched to platelet donations, so now once a month I turn up with my laptop on the tray, coffee in hand, and another donation under my belt.”

Thank you to the wonderful NHS Blood and Transplant team who made the experience so easy, friendly, and relaxing.

If you’ve ever thought about donating, why not book an appointment? You’ll feel good, do good, and maybe one day hit your own milestone too – while helping to save a life.
